The Best Family Friendly Mystery TV Series

If you love mysteries & action filled tv series here are some great shows for you. These shows will keep you on the edge of your seat and you can watch them with the whole family!

My sister loves action packed shows, while my Mom & I are completely happy with rom com or a vintage movie. The trouble is it is hard to find family friendly action filled movies & tv series these days, so we have found some for you.

*Some of these shows are not recommended for younger children as there are many scenes of violence that may be frightening. (the last series below, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, can be watched by younger children)

HUDSON & REX

Crime | Drama | Mystery

HUDSON & REX is an action-packed, police drama focused on the partnership between detective Charlie Hudson and his partner Rex, an extraordinary former K9 dog. When a puzzling crime emerges, the dynamic duo are on the case - with Charlie's deft detective work and Rex's keen canine senses, this crime-fighting pair is unstoppable.

My family & I really enjoyed watching this series. We liked the action and comedic moments.

(You can watch season 1 of HUDSON & REX on Up Faith and Family & Direct TV. You can buy PAL DVD versions of season 1, 2 ,3 ,4 on Amazon, these DVDs won’t work in the US, so sadly I have not watched them yet)

The Hardy Boys Season 1

Adventure | Drama | Family

When the Hardy boys, Frank and Joe and their father, Fenton arrive in Bridgeport they set out to uncover the truth behind the recent tragedy that has changed their lives, and in doing so, uncover something much more sinister.

This is my most recent tv series find. We loved it & binge watched it within a week! The first episode is kinda of boring but give it time.

(Sadly, I do not recommend season 2. There is swearing and other content that is not really family friendly, like the town celebrating Demon Day)

Sue Thomas F.B.Eye 5 Seasons

Crime | Drama | Mystery

Based on a true story, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye follows the adventures of Sue Thomas at the FBI in Washington, D.C., with her hearing-ear dog, Levi. Sue whose talent for reading lips helps crack crimes and there's (almost) nothing she won't do to bring notorious criminals to justice. This remarkable, edge-of-your-seat drama is an inspiring tribute to the ability of the human spirit to overcome adversity and achieve great things.

We love this one so much! The camaraderie and banter between the team while solving cases makes this show worth watching.

This is one of our favorite shows of all time! The Postables are quirky & endearing characters that you grow to love. The show tells heartfelt stories, while solving mysteries along the way.
