Best Heart Shaped Sugar Cookie Recipe
Everyone’s favorite! Delicious Heart Shaped Sugar Cookies
(Makes approximately 40 heart shaped cookies)
This has been my family’s favorite sugar cookie recipe for years! We’ve used this recipe every year for our Christmas cookies for as long as I can remember and occasionally for Valentine’s Day cookies. These cookies are also great to make with your kids. I recommend making the dough in advance. Then having your kids roll, cut out, and decorate the cookies! I’ve always enjoyed making them when I was younger (and still do). I recently tried making these cookies with my little brother and he loved the process of rolling them out. The only part he didn’t enjoy was decorating them. I know that sounds crazy, but he is a perfectionist and kept comparing them to mine even though his looked great.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup sugar

Step 2.

Step 4.

Step 5.
Flour working surface. Roll out the dough with a floured rolling pin until you reach your desired thickness. Make sure you have plenty of extra flour to prevent sticking.

Step 7.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until the bottoms of the hearts are golden.
Step 8.
Color the frosting with pink and purple food coloring. Garnish with Valentine sprinkles. (I also like to add writing, such as love, I love u, etc. on my cookies) Enjoy!
